What we can't doWe cannot take air-conditioner units or range hoods apart for cleaning (work involving disassembly is for specialist contractors). We can wash air-conditioner filters after removing them, and wipe the surface of range hoods.

Flat fee per task (you can combine them). Garden cleaning (sweeping leaves, tidying and watering plants) is priced by size — up to about 3m×3m ¥900 / up to about 5m×5m ¥2,900. Weeding, pruning branches and felling trees ¥900

What we can't doWe can't take away or dispose of the cut grass and leaves (we bag them and hand them to you). Machines (brush cutters, electric trimmers, chainsaws) must be provided by you; please explain how to use them on the day and lend the manual if you have one. Branch work beyond safe reach from a step stool, and felling thick-trunked trees, cannot be accepted for safety reasons.

Cleaning ¥1,100 / cleaning + accompanying you ¥1,500

What we can't doGrave cleaning covers cleaning, weeding and offerings (flowers, incense). We can't handle remains, or repair, move or re-engrave headstones, or fell or prune trees. We follow the cemetery/temple rules, and the administrator's prior permission may be required.

Laundry (wash & hang) ¥300 / futon airing ¥150 (combinable)

What we can't doWe can't take laundry away for off-site cleaning like a dry-cleaner's. We help with laundry at your home only. For safety, only a worker of the same gender as the person being helped will come.

What we can't doWe can't buy or take away unwanted items (licences are required under the Secondhand Articles Dealer Act and Waste Management Act). Bulky waste goes to the municipal pickup spot only. We cannot accept tidying of severely cluttered homes ("gomi-yashiki"), as they pose hygiene and health risks to the worker.

What we can't doHigh places are limited to what a stepladder can safely reach. We can't climb into attics or other unsafe spots.

What we can't doWork on outlets, switches or wiring legally requires a licensed electrician (Electricians Act), so we can't do it. Bulb/battery changes and reaching high shelves are fine.

What we can't doWe can't drill into walls or do built-in installation work (risk of damaging your home). Assembly follows the manual only. Very large jobs — assembling chairs for a whole office, for example — are not accepted (please keep it to what one helper can finish within the day).

What we can't doLarge furniture (chest, table, bed, fridge, etc.) is handled by two helpers for safety — the ¥700 fee is ¥350 × 2 helpers. We can't transport items by vehicle (moving/delivery legally requires a licensed carrier), or take waste away (Waste Management Act). We move things within your home and carry bulky waste to the municipal pickup spot only.

What we can't doPlease keep within these limits: total weight up to about 5 kg, at most 2 heavy 2-litre items, and up to about 10 items. Alcohol and tobacco can be purchased, but as they are age-restricted, no one under 20 can place such requests (a request marked "Includes alcohol or tobacco" is shown only to helpers aged 20 or over). For medicines we can only buy general OTC medicines; pharmacist-supervised (designated) medicines that the law (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act) requires to be sold to the user in person cannot be handled. The means of travel (on foot or by bicycle) depends on the helper. Goods may only be carried by car if the vehicle has commercial plates (green plates for standard cars, black plates for kei cars); carrying goods in a private car is not accepted.

What you’ll prepareNothing to prepare (you specify the items in the app). You pay for the goods in cash: hand the amount you entered to the helper at the in-person greeting, and the receipt and any change come back to you on the spot. If you order ice cream, frozen food or other cold items, you choose when placing the request whether the helper brings a cooler bag or you provide one and hand it over at the door.

What we can't doWe can't drive you (paid rides legally require a licensed operator under the Road Transportation Act), provide physical care such as transfers, or perform medical acts. We accompany you on foot, by public transport or taxi, and help with waiting, reception and payment.

What we can't doWe can't provide nursing-care or medical acts (managing medication, physical care, etc.). We also never sell or solicit goods, insurance or investments, solicit for religious or political causes, lend or front money, or broker contracts during a visit (to protect older users under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act and Consumer Contract Act).

What we can't doWe can't repair or open up devices. We also can't hold passwords or other sensitive information, log in on your behalf (online banking or any account), make transfers or payments, or file online applications to government offices for you (Unauthorized Computer Access Act, Administrative Scriveners Act). We help with operation and settings only. Even if a helper happens to see a password during the work, our Terms of Service bind them never to disclose anything learned on the job.

What we can't doNo nursing care, medical acts or chores — this is a visit-and-report wellness check. In a clear emergency — for example the person has collapsed — the helper does not judge alone and calls 119 (ambulance) on the spot. If there is no answer or the situation is unclear, the helper reports to the operator, and the operator contacts the requester and the registered emergency contact.
